Tracking Our Collective Wellbeing: Launch of the Life in the UK Dashboard
Join us on Monday 26 January, 10-11am, for the launch of our Life in the UK Data Dashboard.
With three years of data, our Life in the UK index measures collective wellbeing across the UK. It reflects what people in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland tell us about their lives, helping us understand whether we are living better or worse over time.
For the first time, the dashboard allows users to explore trends in wellbeing across jurisdictions and demographics. It offers an accessible, visual way to understand the wellbeing data across the social, economic, environmental and democratic aspects of life, and will be a valuable tool for policymakers, researchers and practitioners working on wellbeing.
At this online event, Susan Pinkney, head of research and insight at Carnegie UK, will invite Dr Anna Francis, senior researcher at Carnegie UK, to give an overview of the dashboard, highlighting its features and the insights it offers. We will then be joined by Vasiliki Sogia, senior analyst at the Office for National Statistics, who, drawing on her experience of the ONS National Wellbeing Dashboard, will discuss the wider concept of measuring collective wellbeing and the importance of data visualisation.
There will also be time for questions and discussion from the audience.
