This background report is part of the Making a Difference series of reports into public library services’ role during lockdown and their potential beyond this time. It summarises the findings of 1196 responses to a public library staff survey that was issued to staff across the UK. The survey was made available on Survey Monkey for 14 days, from 19 June 2020 – 3 July 2020. It covers:
- the services offered during lockdown;
- the potential role of public library services in the post-lockdown environment;
- the skills staff did (or did not) utilise during lockdown; and
- the experience of staff during lockdown.
